       Soap making began for me back in high school as part of an FFA project. I was experimenting with fresh goat milk from our small herd and wanted to create something useful and natural. Over time, I learned how to turn simple ingredients into quality soap that’s gentle on the skin and free from anything unnecessary.

       Today, Higher Ground Cottage is a family effort. My husband helps with the soap-making process, and our toddlers (supervised, of course!) help wrap each bar and care for our LaMancha and Nigerian Dwarf goats. It’s become part of our daily life—something we all enjoy doing together.

       We make our soap in small batches, using pure, hand-milked goat milk from our own goats. We skip the artificial stuff—no dyes, no added fragrances, and no watered-down ingredients. Just essential oils, biodegradable packaging, and ingredients you can feel good about.

       At Higher Ground Cottage, we keep things simple, natural, and made by hand—just the way we like it.
